A continuous backlight softly lights the dial in low light for easy reading at night, and you can switch it off. A crescendo beep alarm gets louder if it is not turned off, and a green indicator on the face shows when the alarm is set. A snooze and light button and a quiet, precise quartz movement complete it. It runs on an AA battery, which is not included.
